About Us
FC Hamman is recognised as an award winning Director of Cinematography (SASC). FC and his Drone Team was also awarded the Visual Spectrum Award for outstanding Aerial Cinematography from the South African Society of Cinematographers in 2015.
Known by his initials ‘FC’ (and seldom accorded his full name of FC Hamman) probably his most reassuring characteristic is that his approach is always client focused. In a world filled with self-centred creatives FC’s aim is always to interpret his client’s vision in a manner which produces powerful and effective visuals, which informs and inspires.
A powerful streak of pragmatism ensures that he always brings projects in on time and within budget. His wealth of experience ensures the best possible creative outcome for his clients.
But at the core is a creative ability which has resulted in work for the big names in the film and television industry such as Universal, Disney, the BBC, National Geographic, Discovery Channel and many major ad agencies and production houses. It has also resulted in a wide range of assignments for the blue-chip heavyweights of the business and the industrial worlds whose names (and testimonials) can be found elsewhere on this website.
After graduating with honours from the Johannesburg College of Art he quickly rose through the creative ranks of the film world as a Director of Photography (SASC) and then as a Film Director working on local and international productions. Since opening his own Production house, FC has filmed features, wildlife and documentaries throughout Africa, the USA, Europe and the rest of the world.
